- To slow down the scooter, release the throttle button, and use the hand-operated brake to reduce the speed. More you squeeze the brake handle, more powerful the brakes.

Fold:
To fold the Hover-1 Journey, you need to release (pull it downwards) the folding hinge and lower the steering column towards the deck.
Unfold:
To unfold, raise the steering column straight, then raise the folding hinge up to its place to secure the column. You will hear a click sound when steering column is locked.

- Remove the battery cover on the bottom of your Hover-1 Journey.
- Press down on the spring tab on the battery pack, and slide the battery pack out of its housing.
- Unscrew the two screws at the back of your Hover-1 Journey.
- Pull forward on the black plastic piece that holds down your speed limiter, then slide it out of its housing.
- Remove any tape or glue that may be holding down your speed limiter.
- Insert a precision screwdriver into the slot and push the pin in until it pops out, then remove the pin by sliding it out with your thumb or finger.
Note: If not done correctly, removing the speed limiter may damage your electric scooter permanently. Extra speed is harmful and will also drain your battery at a faster rate. Besides, it will void your warranty.
